The minor International Aid & development (website) prepares students for work in developing countries. In view of the great cultural, social and socio-economic differences, living and working in such countries requires thorough professional and personal preparation and this minor provides it.
Assignment
Students from the Minor International Aid & Development are one of the few students in the Hanze East Africa Hub who actually travel to Africa as part of their assignment. The studentshave all returned from their adventures. The minor had 6 different projects running this semester. Two of the projects werelocated in Kenya and focused on community health and entrepreneurship. The other 4 projects were located in Tanzania. Here the topics were enivironmental farmer training, enterprise training for women, integration of children with dissabilities into school and community development.
